Siemens PLM Software confirms their intent to participate in the JoRes project

CFD
Siemens PLM Software’s Simcenter portfolio includes Simcenter STAR-CCM+® software, a multiphysics CFD code widely used in the marine industry. As one of the first supporters of the project (see Testimonials) Siemens PLM is offering to leverage its leading position from other transportation segments (Automotive, Aerospace) where the use of simulation has already brought huge improvements in efficiency.

Dejan Radosavljevic, Director of Marine, comments:
“With the help of the digital twin paradigm already common in some other industries, ship designers are quickly adopting a holistic approach early in the design cycle. Access to more good quality data for performance validation can add significant value to global efforts in reducing the environmental footprint of the Maritime industry and we are excited about the opportunity to contribute  to this project.”
