The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is joining the JoRes project

Model Tests
The Director General of the NRC’s Ocean, Coastal and River Engineering Research Centre, Dr David Murrin, says:
“The NRC is the Government of Canada’s largest research organization supporting industrial innovation, the advancement of knowledge and technology development. With the growing environmental challenges, we share the global maritime industry’s views about the reduction of greenhouse gas emission. Ship energy-saving devices may be a promising solution, but careful and independent studies are required to develop industry benchmarks for these solutions. Moreover, ship-scale PIV measurements of propeller flow have great potential and may help to better understand the principles of these devices. We at the NRC believe that the JoRes project is an important initiative and we are happy to be supporting it.”
