Have you ever seen detailed 3D images of hull roughness?

Ship Monitoring

One of the challenges of ship scale CFD validation is to know the actual characteristics of hull roughness before the sea trials.

For these purposes, JoRes team has successfully employed a unique underwater roughness scanner developed by the University of Melbourne.
This impressive dataset will help to better understand and simulate ship resistance.
