Unfortunately, inaccurate sea state parameters are one of the main sources of uncertainties when vessel sea trials are performed under the ISO15016 standard. For our JoRes RoRo ferry, we wanted to make sure we know the actual sea state conditions at the time of the trials.

It was a great privilege (and fun!) to partner with the famous Sofar Ocean and use their free drifting wave buoys. Easy to deploy, easy to monitor the location and easy to get the wave data! Thank you very much Sofar Ocean for your great help!
